This blog post is for the 20 somethings doin something looking to throw a snooty dinner party with a friendly budget. On March 9th I had the pleasure of assisting Whitney Daniels founder of "20 Somethings Doin Something" with the planning and coordinating of her birthday dinner (co hosted by Lakeisha Little). We had exactly 24hrs to pull everything off. I pride myself on being the budget killer while working well under pressure so I was up for the challenge!
With the location secured and 2 Pinterest pins to work with I ran to as Drake would say "my right hand my go to" both Lowes Foods and Dollar Tree. See squad, Lowes Food, Harris Teeter, and even Trader Joes have an amazing selection of fresh florals that can even be ordered in bulk. I prefer Lowes Foods knowing that I am supporting local farmers. As we all know Dollar Tree has every type of candle you can think of and their online selection will blow your mind. I literally bought out all of the candles and florals we needed in store which lead a cashier to jokingly say "hey you cant do that!" I laughed and informed them that I am a 20 something doing something!
Pictured are both the Pinterest pins and actual photos of the event shot by freelance documentary photographer Shanna Duffy. As a day of coordinator I enjoy the hustle of the day so running around to pull everything together is 2nd nature for us. We are pleased to say that everything came together beyond what we actually imagined. This encouraged me to move forward with our mission here at Myya Carson Events.
"A good name is better to have than any riches" We want to show you that quality doesn't necessarily have to come with an expensive price tag.
Its 2018 lets work smarter and save a dollar. For more details on this look book your consultation today because again I am 20 something doin something.
